MovinCool is movin’ its way into the social online world with its new Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/movincool, where customers can post their experiences with MovinCool portable and ceiling-mount spot air conditioners..

“Many of our customers are extremely enthusiastic about their MovinCool products and the way they have solved particular application challenges,” said John Doran, senior manager, Commercial and Industrial Systems. “Our Facebook page provides them with an interactive community where they can share their MovinCool ‘success stories’ and benefit from the experiences of others.”

MovinCool commercial spot air conditioners are unique in that they are self-contained systems, combining a compressor, condenser and evaporator within a single housing. No external condensing unit or refrigerant charging is required, saving construction, installation and maintenance costs.

MovinCool portable models can be simply be rolled into place, plugged in and turned on. This makes them especially useful for emergency, backup and supplemental cooling for a variety of applications, including server and telecom rooms, hospitals and healthcare facilities, offices and schools, manufacturing processes and outdoor events. In addition to cooling, the units are highly effective in removing moisture and preventing water damage in disaster recovery.

MovinCool also offers ceiling-mount models that are specially designed to fit above the drop ceiling of server rooms and other spaces with dense heat loads.

Among the MovinCool success stories already on Facebook is one by Matt Steding of Allina Medical Clinics, who chose a MovinCool CM25 ceiling-mount air conditioner to cool an overheating data room. He likes the unit for its low-cost installation and because it was easy to set it up for remote control by the environmental management system (EMS) in Allina’s headquarters. “The CM25 has all the features we need, at an affordable price,” said Steding. “Also, being able to connect it to our control system so easily is a signifi¬cant benefit.”
