MovinCool Spot Air Conditioners Now Use Environmentally Friendly R-410A Refrigerant

Non-ozone-depleting refrigerant

January 26, 2009

Long Beach, CA

MovinCool® announced that it has upgraded all models in its most popular OfficePro® line of spot air conditioners, as well as its Classic Plus 14 model, to use the environmentally friendly refrigerant R-410A. The company will finish upgrading its remaining models to use R-410A within the coming months.

Unlike hydrochlorofluorcarbon-based refrigerants such as R22 (Freon), R-410A does not contain greenhouse gases, which contribute to the depletion of the ozone layer.

“As a company, we are committed to offering environmentally friendly products, and are proud to be continuing to lead our industry sector in this direction,” said John Doran, senior manager, Commercial and Industrial Systems. “We are certain that our customers will appreciate our efforts.”

MovinCool’s portable spot air conditioners provide emergency, supplemental and seasonal cooling and moisture removal for a wide variety of applications, including server and telecom rooms, data centers, offices, warehouses, assembly lines, manufacturing processes and outdoor events. In addition, MovinCool’s ultracompact, ceiling-mount CM12 spot air conditioner offers an efficient and cost-effective solution for applications where space is at a premium, such as server and telecom closets.
