CM12 Keeps Hot Spots Cool Against Winter Building Heat

Long Beach, CA

As winter hits and temperatures drop, commercial buildings systems switch from air conditioning to heating mode, but the need to cool “hot spots” like computer server rooms remains high. MovinCool, the market leader in portable spot cooling, has introduced the CM12, a new ceiling-mount spot air conditioner ideal for small office spaces that must be kept cool.

Often the main roadblock to the efficient cooling of cramped server telecom and equipment rooms is the lack of floor space to accommodate a roll-in portable spot cooler. MovinCool offers a convenient solution with the CM12, a lightweight, space saving, easy-to-install ceiling-mounted unit.

The CM12 delivers 10,500 Btu/H of cooling in a compact, self-contained unit that mounts easily with standard, off-the-shelf hardware above a standard drop ceiling. The CM12 connects to a standard 115V, 15-amp circuit, saving time, space and money.

“Some businesses don’t even know they have a problem until the HVAC system switches to heating in the winter. Suddenly, the computer servers begin to have problems with too much heat,” stated John Doran, manager of the MovinCool Department. “MovinCool pioneered the concept of workspace spot cooling with its line of portable air conditioning units. Now, with the CM12, we offer an out-of-the-way ceiling mount solution that provides 24 / 7 cooling while the central system switches over to heating mode.”

The new CM12 comes with a variety of cost-saving built-in capabilities and safety features:
· Built-in mounting brackets designed for off-the-shelf mounting hardware
· Conveniently controlled by most off-the-shelf thermostats
· Connects to the building control system
· Automatic safety shut-off from common fire alarm control panel
· System is self contained - No refrigerant piping required

Also, the CM12 has a wide operating range of 65° to 95°F on the evaporator and 65° to 113°F on the condenser. Built-in supply and return air flanges enables easy duct installation, improved air circulation and more efficient cooling.

Warning signals and audible alarms for condensation overflow and unscheduled shutdown are built-in and can be wired to a central location. Standard internal pump is included.

In addition to the CM12, MovinCool offers the Office Pro lineup, a seamless series of portable spot cooling solutions that will fit any requirement. MovinCool portable spot cooling solutions offer more units, more power, more protection, more affordability and higher cooling capacities than most comparable portable air conditioners up to 60,000 BTU/h.
